Mondia Italian Designed watches
Mondia was established in1935
In Le Locle, Switzerland. Mr. Paul Wermot, a highly skilled
technician with strong business sense, designed a watch, the
first in a long string of success. His relentless pursuit for
precision, passion for the mechanics, and attention to
details, allowed the company to generate a long list of
prominent customers in a very short time. Through the
continuous updating of models, use of quality materials &
commitment to emerging technologies allowed Mondia to attain
an important position in the Italian market. This position was
maintained and grew stronger right up 1970 when Mondia was
acquired by Zenith.
Since 2001 the Mondia brand has been
distributed worldwide by Mondia Italia as a subsidiary of
Sordi Spa, a well established Italian watchmaker headquartered
in Milan. In 2002 Mondia hit with a successful collection
called the Grande Montre, offering sophisticated Italian
design, first class materials, ETA mechanical movements and
aggressive pricing. Joining with the success of the Grande
Montre series are the new Wave, Triumph, Intrepido, and
Classic series shown here. |

sized (46mm) Mondia Wave dive watch sports a cut away date
showing half of the date wheel. A large screw-down crown sets
the time. Includes luminous hour and minute hands, an orange-red
seconds hand, a black PVD uni-directional divers bezel with
orange-red 15 minute markings. The chapter ring shows both
military 24-hour) time and 60 minute markings. Inside the 316L
stainless steel case is a Ronda 515 quartz movement for supreme

This beautiful Mondia Triumph
chronograph is easy on the eyes and very functional. Features
include a black tachymeter bezel, stop watch timing functions,
24 hour sub-dial, date, screw-in case back, mineral crystal,
luminous hands and hour markers, and red chronograph hands.
Powering the watch is a Miyota OS20 quartz chronograph movement.
A slightly domed mineral crystal gives the watch a bit of a
