Description

Orient Ray II Blue Dial Automatic Dive Watch with SS Bracelet #AA02005D

The new Orient Ray II is destined to become a massive best seller. The new Ray II is now powered by a 22-jewel, Caliber F69 automatic movement. This new movement is self-winding, hand winding, and it hacks (second hand halts when you pull out the crown). In addition to the new improved movement, the new Ray II watch has an improved uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks, and it has a new case design (gone is the quick day pusher at 2:00) for a trimmer, more simplified look. The day and date window is the same, but you adjust both via the screw-down crown. The case size comes in at 41.5mm in diameter and it's about 13mm thick. As always, you get an excellent stainless steel bracelet with a smooth operating, push-button deployant clasp (a hallmark of Orient watches).

Great addition to my dive watch collection April 30, 2017

The blue dial Ray II is a perfect addition to my collection of Seiko divers. The blue dial catches the light beautifully. It's keeping great time also.
Great service from Marc and Long Island Watch.

Quality issues with my Ray II April 14, 2017
Reviewer: Todd Higginbotham from Lacey, WA United States
I want to preface that the watch is functioning up to expectations as a mechanical watch. That said, my unit shouldn't have passed QA.

The bezel is misaligned with the chapter markers. Any watch geek knows how annoying, though minor, this can be.

The second quality issue I saw was when I opened the case back to take a peek at the movement/check the robustness of the o-ring. To my surprise there are 2 large cut marks on the rotor, one of which runs it's entire width. While the F69 appears to be running smooth, it just kinda sucks knowing that the watch has substantially less resale value.

There really is something to be said about JDM and Euro made watches.

Nice Watch April 13, 2017
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Niskayuna, NY United States
I am very happy with the watch.  Looks nice.
Minor comments: It is so dark blue that you cannot see any blue unless the sun is directly on the face of the watch.  Also the metal band is a little uncomfortable after awhile with some metal edges on the inside that rub on your skin.

Bracelet for my watch April 12, 2017
Reviewer: Mario Castillo from Grand Island , NE United States
I received my watch and everything seemed fine. Until one piece of my bracelet came loose and got lost. I took to a local shop in town and told me I would have to order a new bracelet since they were hard to find. Bummer.
Not very happy about my new watch since I wore it only a couple of times.

Orient Ray 2 April 9, 2017
Reviewer: Ray C. from HighlandMills, NY United States
This is an ok watch, I bought it because of the decent pricing and I wanted a watch to add into the mix with my SKX007. The bracelet is very cheap and I bought a miltstat replacement, also the crown is small and slightly difficult to handle. The hacking and hand winding feature is excellent a big plus and the dial face is well designed and looks good. Overall this watch is not as robust as an SKX007, but I am glad to add it to my watch rotation.
