Orient Star Seeker Automatic GMT Watch with Power Reserve, Sapphire Crystal #DJ00002W

The new Orient Star Seeker is powered by an Orient made 40P51, 22-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement that can be hand wound and has hacking capability. It also has a power reserve of 40 hours which can be monitored via a meter at 11:00 on the dial. It also features both 12 and 24 hour dials with the ability to track two time zones. Also, an inner rotating 24-hour scale allows you to track a third time zone. A quick-set date window is at 3:00 and the hands and hour markers are treated with luminous material for viewing in the dark. The 24 hour inner bezel can be rotated as can the independently adjustable red GMT hand. Orient has even included a scratch resistant sapphire crystal to make this a truly amazing value.

Classy watch

This is a gorgeous watch and an outstanding value. I bought it on Thanksgiving during the black Friday sale and received it on Monday. I'm extremely satisfied purchasing from Island Watch. This is my first GMT watch and it was fun learning how to set it to track 3 time zones. I find myself staring at the dial to appreciate the details. Everything about this watch is well proportioned and the quality is impressive. I'm still undecided about the bracelet. It's not as comfortable as the one on my other Orient Star - the open heart DA02002W. These watches run a bit fast, over 10 sec/day, but we'll see how they do over time. I get frequent compliments, but no one seems familiar with the brand. That's a shame. I can't think of any nicer watch at this very reasonable price point.

Great watch, great service!

As usual, Marc and Island Watch provided great service. Picked this up on the Black Friday sale for a great price and had the watch in hand on Monday. Watch looks much better than anticipated (but that seems to be the case with all Orient Stars) and wears well. Pearl dial gives a nice look and highlights the multilevel dial. Hand winding is smooth, and auto winding is very efficient. Fit/finish is very nice, especially for this price point. Overall, a very nice watch and well worth the money.

I am very happy about this watch, Very good quality, Excellent Mechanical GMT watch for travelling, Easy to operate get familiar with. Front and Back of the watch osam looking can see watch moving. Power saver indicator is a Plus. Overall best buy and I recommend this watch to others

Purchased this watch from longisland, service was great and the watch arrived promptly properly packed and showing no signs of damage to presentation box or watch. Watch looks better in the flesh, heavy and solid. GMT hand aligns perfectly, handwinds like butter and this piece keeps time within specs at -8s to -10s per day, would have preferred it to run fast rather than slow. Would recommend this watch and longisland without hesitation
