The new Orient Star Classic is powered by an Orient made 40N52, 22-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement that can be hand wound and has hacking capability. It also has a power reserve of 40 hours which can be monitored via a meter at 12:00 on the dial. A quick-set date window is at 3:00. The hands are done in a yellow goldtone color and the applied hour markers are also goldtone. This model also features a domed mineral crystal that gives this timepiece an elegant look. The watch comes on a alligator grained leather strap with a buckle closure. An exhibition window case back shows you the Orient Star movement winding rotor and balance wheel in action.

    Orient Star Classic is a Winner

    I read reviews about the Orient Star watch, but until I recently acquired one I did not realize how much I would admire the quality of the craftsmanship. This model comes with the gold plated facial elements, while maintaining the stainless steel case is especially attractive as a classy dress watch. The size (l believe the diameter is ~39 mm and the thickness 13 or so mm) of the watch is appropriate for my wrist, and having a power reserve meter is a plus. The watch seems to be keeping time reasonably accurate (gains approximately 2-3 seconds per day) over the last few weeks. Overall, the Orient Star Classic is named appropriately and offers good value.
