Orient 42mm Stingray Day and Date Automatic Watch with White Dial #EM7K00BW

Ordered an Orient Stingray on Labor Day, taking advantage of the special. Watch arrived about a week later. Shipping time was very reasonable. 3 months of wearing the watch and I absolutely love it. I've been a Swiss watch snob for many years. After much research I decided to try a Japanese automatic watch. I'm so impressed with this time piece I had to buy another. the quality of this watch in my opinion is just as good as the swiss made watches and you see the prices are a fraction of a Swiss automatic. I've spent hundreds of dollars alone just on repairs and maintenance of my Swiss pieces. The stingray is a steal for the money and the people at the Island Watch Company are true professionals

This watch is outstanding. The build quality and design are among my favorite. I've long been a fan of dive watches, but was looking for something more utilitarian and less chunky. I had previously owned an Orient Mako with orange face - it was nice, but the color became kind of polarizing. Then I found the Stingray with the white face. The white is kind of pearlescent in sun/ bright light. The strap feels amazing - it's thick, slightly stiff and has a matte finish and with the white face and silver/white accents, the entire watch looks amazing - it's so clean looking - not minimalist, but very nearly so. I really like the day and date separation and the smaller marker at the three o'clock position. The watch fits in pretty much all situations - I telecommute and am casual for work, and it looks great with a polo and khakis or t-shirt and jeans. Similarly, it looks great dressed up with a button-down shirt and dress pants.

Bought this watch on sales and I couldn't recommend it more. If it was 40mm it would be the perfect watch, but that's just because I have smaller wrists. Great buy.

This is a beautiful watch, you get much more than you'd expect for an inexpensive price. The dial has a nice sunburst quality to it and is almost pearl looking in some lighting. I'd highly recommend it!
