Orient Goldtone Automatic Dress Watch with White Dial, Roman Numerals #ER24009W

Orient Goldtone Automatic Dress Watch with White Dial, Roman Numerals #ER24009W

The new Orient Goldtone Bambino dress watch features an Orient made 21-jewel automatic movement, a white dial with yellow goldtone applied Roman numeral markers, matching goldtone hands, a solid screw-in case back, date window at 3:00, a domed mineral crystal, and a dark brown leather strap. Great watch for wearing to the office or out for dinner. It is a beautiful watch with classic elegance and style. it will look VERY handsome on your wrist!

Notes from Orient:

With a domed crystal that helped define the popular Bambino series, the newest Bambino is refreshed with a new look that is worthy of the popular achieved by its predecessors. The ER24009W sports a white dial with yellow goldtone accents; a combination not seen in the earlier Bambinos. Secondly, a great distinction between the current model and the previous model is the usage of Roman numeral hour markers. This provides a more classic look to the piece. Here, the numerals are displayed in an even number sequence (2, 4, 6 etc.) as opposed to the traditional three, six, nine, twelve sequence. Each off number is denoted with a bar. If you are wondering why IIII was used instead of IV for the number four, it all has to do with creating symmetry on the dial.

The yellow goldtone colored hands are slimmer and more flat than the dauphine hands on the original Bambino. The thin hands are reminiscent of classic watches from the past. Also noticeably different is the outer chapter ring which looks like a track that runs around the dial. The markers not only denote the seconds, but really give the ER24009W a vintage feel.

    Good for the money

The watch looks great, but the movement is running at about +30/day and the leather strap is very stiff. Overall, I like it; the roman numerals and the domed crystal are very nice touches. As for shipping, it arrived in five days.

Orient Bambino Men's 41mm Automatic watch

Posted by William A Draper Jr on Aug 15th 2015

This is my second Orient Automatic watch. I was completely floored by the quality of the watch. I also own an Orient Black Ray Diver's watch, I feel in many ways it is the best Diver's watch I have ever owned. I am a certified PADI scuba diver. With that experience to Orient's quality and workmanship, and the Bambino's reviews, I am very happy with my Bambino. After graduating from High School, I purchased a Men's Tissot Goldtone dress watch along the same design lines as the Bambino but, it was smaller in diameter, with a Swiss hand wound movement. I wish I still had it but the quality of the Orient Bambino is equal to or exceeds, believe it or not the Swiss made Tissot, which I purchased brand new. I am extremely satisfied with my Bambino, I may buy a different dial color scheme, with the Roman Numerals.

    PRODUCT QUALITY & SERVICE

Posted by David Franklin on Jul 31st 2015

The quality of the Orient Bambino ER24009W I recently purchased from Long Island Watch is first rate. And, the service and communication by Marc were second to none. Island Watch and Marc are the first and only business I look to for purchasing my next automatic watch, and I just cannot seem to get enough of them to satisfy my love of mechanical watches. Sincerely, Dave Franklin

    classy watch

I collect antique clocks and they all have roman numerals on the dial... as does this watch. It is a classic look and much thinner than the other Orients I have. I think it is a winner and a great value.
