The Orient Advancer is a straightforward, handsomely dressed timepiece complete with date function and contrasting dial. While it is a sporty watch at heart, it certainly features sophisticated styling, especially in the pinstriped dial. It is certainly a versatile piece for both sport and casual wear. Includes an open date window and the watch comes on a solid-link stainless steel bracelet with push button deployant clasp. The stainless steel case size is 42.5mm without the crown. Power reserve on this model is approximately 40 hours when fully wound. It features the Orient caliber 48749 automatic (self-winding) movement. Water resistance is 100 meters or 330 feet.

For the price, I just do not see how you could do better and I do not know how Orient can do it..but they do. This is just a great value even at it's regular price here. With very little care this is a watch that will last your lifetime and more.

Great piece the right size with all papers. Had a minor scratch on case by the link g but was only visible at close inspection. The orient is 43mm and rivals much pricier brands on looks and accuracy. ROI is amazing. Will shop again especially the version in white and the new sun and moon in white with roman numerals.

I bought several as groomsmen's gifts, on special. Didn't want to give out a useless trinket or another flask. Great value for the money, and just inside what most etiquette books advise is an appropriate budget per gift. A moment where quality met affordability, can't go wrong.

Pin removal

Hi Marc Just FYI, The Advancer's bracelet, which is the same (as far as I can tell) the Orient Planet Ocean I purchased a year or two ago, was really difficult to resize, due to the pins. I had to use an inordinate amount of force (bent one pin tool) and scratched the bracelet. Never had this problem with any of the other orients I received.

Watch arrived within 2 days, in perfect condition, and even included a micro fiber cloth. This watch looks absolutely beautiful on the wrist and keeps time within 7 seconds. Not sure there's a better deal on a watch any where on the Internet.
