This is a new Orient field watch with a black dial and white luminous hands and hour markers. Date is at 6:00 with the day of the week shown in a sub-dial at 3:00. At 11:00 on the dial is a 24-hour sub-dial that is handy for tracking military time. The watch is powered by a Orient made 21-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement housed in a 42mm matte finished stainless steel case. It comes with black aviator grained leather strap with white stitching. 22mm lug width.

    Orient continues to produce watches that are great quality for the money. The defender is a great everyday watch. Looks great to wear everyday or in the office.

    I was in the market for a casual 100m water resistant automatic watch with a screw down crown and a date complication (no dive bezel). I spent not a little bit of time, but ALOT of time looking all over the internet to meet those requirements. Those requirements normally far exceed a few hundred bucks and I actually landed on a Sinn 556, but for literally $1000 cheaper, I decided to give this a shot. I dig it. It’s cool, and a totally original Orient design. It’s my 2nd Orient, and I like both of them quite a lot. Also, all kinda straps look cool on it. And it’s s 22mm lugs take make it nice to swap around straps between it and my SKX. The rotor is kinda noisy but who cares really, it’s a rad watch for 120 bucks, and would be for much more than that.
