Orient Watch is celebrating its 65th anniversary with a one-of-a-kind limited edition watch. While the years 1901 (the year the company traces back to) and 1950 (the year manufacturing resumed) hold significance in the brand’s rich history, it was not until 1951 that the company adopted the name “Orient Watch” and sold their first watch models under its new name.

The watch takes on the silhouette of the Sun and Moon Version 2 and has been reworked and upgraded with a sophisticated colorway and super luxury feel. It is definitely unlike any other Sun and Moon watch we’ve ever produced. The model is encased in gold tone, and features an eggshell colored dial. The handset is a stunning blue metallic color, which pops off the dial and provides a superb color contrast. The layered dial design of the Sun and Moon is highlighted with the help of the metallic sunburst dial, which adds to the richness of the overall design. The watch is equipped with a medium-brown leather strap and a gold tone deployment clasp, a fantastic touch to what is easily one of the best colorways the brand has offered.

The 65th Anniversary watch is limited to 3000 pieces worldwide. Each piece is fully made in Japan, is individually numbered on the case back, and will come presented in a commemorative gift box.

This watch has a sun and moon (or AM to PM) indicator between 10 and 11:00 on the dial. The date is between 7:00 and 8:00 with the day of the week shown in a sub-dial between 2:00 and 3:00. The watch is powered by a ORIENT Cal. 46B40 Automatic Mov’t 21-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement and it is housed in 42.5mm diameter case. A sapphire crystal is included to guard against scratches. The watch comes with an alligator grained leather strap with a deployant clasp.
