Seiko Premier Open Heart, Hand Windable Automatic Watch #SSA023J1

The SSA023J1 is a dress style watch from Seiko's Premier series of upscale watches.

It features a 24-jewel movement that self-winds with the movement of your wrist, but it can also be hand wound if the watch sits for a day or two. The open-heart opening on the dial at 9:00 lets you see the gold-plate balance wheel working as you wear the watch. Flip the watch over and you can see the movement's winding rotor in action.

Right about the open-heart is a 24-hour sub-dial for showing military time or for travel in parts of Europe. The black dial has a waffle pattern in the center and it uses Roman numerals as hour designations on the chapter ring. The stainless steel case is 40.5 mm in diameter and 13mm thick. The high grade stainless steel bracelet features solid links and a nice dual push button deployant clasp.
