Description

Seiko Green Dial Automatic Alpinist Field Watch with 38mm Case, and Sapphire Crystal #SARB017

The Seiko SARB017 field watch is powered by the premium Seiko 6R15 caliber self-winding movement that can also be hand wound and hacked. It is the same caliber that powers many of the Seiko Prospex line of watches. The movement has a generous 50 hour power reserve. The case has a fine brushed finish and the green dial sports highly luminous goldtone hands and hour markers. A date display is shown at the 3 o'clock position. A scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used to protect the dial. The watch is water resistant to 200 meters. Note: The crown at 4:00 turns the inner (compass marked) bezel. Case is a mix of brushed and polished stainless steel.

Absolutely Stunning Watch, Stiff Strap January 18, 2018
Reviewer: Joseph Herb from Lebanon, PA United States
Absolutely love the watch. Works very well and I've been averaging about +6 seconds a day, which is perfectly acceptable.

Only things to note are the dial is not as dark as pictured, it's more of a forest green color. Also, the strap is nice quality, but is very stiff. This may only be an issue for smaller wrists.

Overall, the watch feels very good and has excellent polish.

Green Machine January 12, 2018

I would highly recommend it. Chances are, if you're a watch enthusiast, you're already familiar with its reputation. Beautiful watch and excellent attention to detail. It has been keeping great time. The cathedral hands are beautiful if you're into that early 20th-century aesthetic. The size is perfect as well. I despise large watches, and this one falls right in the sweet spot. If you're considering buying the Alpinist, go for it. Island Watch was also fantastic, as always.
