Seiko Creme Dial Automatic Field Watch with 40mm Case, and Compass Bezel #SARG005

Seiko Creme Dial Automatic Field Watch with 40mm Case, and Compass Bezel #SARG005

The Seiko SARG005 field watch is powered by the premium Seiko 6R15 caliber self-winding movement that can also be hand wound and hacked. It is the same caliber that powers many of the Seiko Prospex line of watches. The movement has a generous 50 hour power reserve. The 40mm case has a fine brushed finish and the black dial sports luminous hands and hour markers. A date display is shown at the 3 o'clock position. A Seiko Hardlex crystal is used to protect the dial. The watch is water resistant to 100 meters. Note: The crown at 4:00 turns the inner (compass marked) bezel.

    Keeps awesome time

After a few weeks the watch is about 10 seconds off, which doesn't seem bad when compared to my Orients (though I love the Orient watches). It looks great and it's not too big for 6 1/2" wrists. But it looks even better with a Hirsch Buffalo brown strap - I have a hard time switching watches because this one goes with jeans, shorts, or business casual. Only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the winding mechanism sounds a little cheap / thinny.
