Seiko Black Dial Automatic Watch with 40.3mm Case, and Sapphire Crystal #SARG011

The exquisite Seiko SARG011 is powered by the premium Seiko 6R15 caliber self-winding movement that can also be hand wound and hacked. It is the same caliber that powers many of the Seiko Prospex line of watches. The movement has a generous 50 hour power reserve. The case has a fine brushed finish and the black dial sports highly luminous hands and hour markers. A date display is shown at the 3 o'clock position. A (curved) scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used to protect the dial along with an exhibition back that allows you to view the movement in action. Water resistant to 100 meters. This is definitely a luxury range watch that is available at an affordable price. Comes on a black leather strap with a deployant style clasp.

An Excellent Japanese Explorer/Field Watch

The Seiko SARG 011 is a superb Japan-made military/field-inspired watch. The sapphire glass, exhibition case back, beveled edges, signed crown, and lumed hour markers make this a great addition to my collection.

Great purchase at this price point, you will not be disappointed. The watch strap is very nice, but small if you have a larger wrist size, so be prepared to purchase a larger strap.

Seiko's version of the Panerai Luminor

The SARG011 evokes the Panerai Luminor and it has to be seen in person to appreciate its beauty. The workhorse 6R15 movement adds an assurance of accuracy and reliability. The watch case and face offers a change of pace for those looking for something other than a military dial or bar marker. As always, Mark's service and pricing are outstanding.
