Seiko Radiant Blue Dial Automatic Watch with 42.2mm Case, and Sapphire Crystal #SARG015

Seiko Radiant Blue Dial Automatic Watch with 42.2mm Case, and Sapphire Crystal #SARG015

The Seiko SARG015 is powered by the premium Seiko 6R15 caliber self-winding movement that can also be hand wound and hacked. It is the same caliber that powers many of the Seiko Prospex line of watches. The movement has a generous 50 hour power reserve. The case has a fine brushed finish and the blue dial has luminous hands and hour markers. A date display is shown at the 3 o'clock position. A (curved) scratch resistant sapphire crystal is used to protect the dial along with an exhibition back that allows you to view the movement in action. Water resistant to 100 meters. Includes a sixty minute marked fixed bezel. This is definitely a luxury range watch that is available at an affordable price. Comes on a blue leather strap with a deployant style clasp.

Beautiful watch, and an excellent value!

Was looking for a blue dialed watch and was happy to see this available in the US (no customs!). Upon arrival, I was more than impressed. Beautiful dark blue sunburst dial is fabulous. Case work is well done with mainly satin finish with a few polished details. The blue leather strap and Seiko deployant are nice. It comes (as typical) installed "backwards" but I don't mind that much. The sapphire crystal is domed inside and gives it a nice vintage look. Doesn't look like there's much (if any) AR coating though. The numbered bezel is fixed and is mainly for decoration. The 6R15C movement is lightly decorated and is visible through the mineral crystal caseback. I haven't really checked accuracy, but it's easily within 30 seconds or so the few times I've looked. I know from other watches that this movement is fully capable of good accuracy, so that's not a concern for me. All in all, just a wonderful JDM Seiko available for shipping from the US. Buy it, you won't regret it!
