Seiko Turtle, Prospex Automatic Dive Watch with a Seiko Rubber Dive Strap #SRP779

This is a popular Seiko automatic dive watch that has been nicknamed Turtle due to the shape of its case. It features a Seiko 24 jewel automatic (4R36) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a Pepsi-style uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The 4R36 Seiko movement is self-winding and it can be hand wound. Lug width is 22mm.

Comes on a Seiko rubber dive strap with a stainless steel buckle. It includes manual and a Seiko box.

Bezel was perfectly aligned with the dial. What astounded me was the accuracy of the movement. It only losses two and a half seconds a day. I cut my teeth on timex manual winders and considered a time piece that lost less than a few minutes a week to be very good. This watch can run a month and only be a minute off. Fantastic! I dislike plastic straps but found the rubber strap that it came on to be very comfortable. It will be awhile before a swap it for the beautiful metal band that Long Island Watch included with the purchase. The free delivery was only a few days. I often have problems with watch crowns gouging the back of my hand. This model, with the crown at the four o'clock, position resolved that problem. It's a pleasure to be able to wear a watch on the left arm now.
