Squale 200 meter Swiss Quartz Dive watch with Two-Tone Bracelet #1545-Qtz

Squale 200 meter Swiss Quartz Dive watch with Two-Tone Bracelet #1545-Qtz

The Squale 1545 quartz is a 200 meter diving watch with a black dial and a 38mm diameter stainless steel case. It has a matching two-tone bracelet with a deployant clasp. This model is a 1970/80s (NOS) original in all components except for the movement. A new Swiss ETA quartz movement provides very accurate time-keeping. It features a uni-directional diver marked bezel with a PIP at 12:00. A date window is at the 3:00 position on the dial. The watch comes in a nice display box, with papers and it is covered by a 2-year Squale international warranty.

NOTE: NOS = New Old Stock.

Cool "New Old Stock" similar to an 80's TAG diver

Posted by Andrew Poon on Apr 2nd 2015

I bought this watch for fun after I watched The Wolf of Wallstreet (I wanted something cheesy 80's lol). It's a nice (small) size almost identical to my Seiko SKX013 but even lower profile so it's does not interfere with shirt cuffs. I'm a bit concerned about the gold finish, time will tell. The case and dial are perfect but the bezel is slightly off and the action is sloppy. My biggest gripe is the metal band and clasp. Squale is known for their high-end cases but this band is not. The edges are sharp and unfinished and the snap on the clasp feels cheap, might try it on a black/gold nato instead. Also bummer it's a quartz, but I suppose it would be a lot more otherwise. It's a fun watch but the next Squale I buy will be the 50 Atmos. This is my 2nd watch from Long Island but I purchased through their Canadian Amazon store which saved me some $ on exchange rate, if you are Canadian, look there first... Same fast shipping!

    The tool watch

Posted by Niko T on Mar 18th 2015

For the price, it's the best quartz diver watch I have seen, and I have many (Seiko, Citizen, Marcelo C, Steinhart, G shock, Tissot,...) 40 years old but perfect fit & finish (when "swiss made" really meant something), the tritium indexes are always slightly luminous and with superb patina. If you like old small sized timepieces, it's a very good choice. The little extra: this model is a copy of the Tag Heuer 1000 series and for one good reason: Squale produced the Tag's diver cases (and for other prestigious brands) in the 70/80s... I have two of them (two tone & only stainless), I swim with it, work (metalsmith) with it, expose it to a 50°C temperature variation this winter and it's always like new. An advice: add a Nato strap to complete the retro look.

    Exactly as described

The "new old stock" Squale diver was exactly as described. Nice retro/semi-vintage look suitable for dress or casual occasions. Well made and stylish with a slightly rugged touch makes it a "go anywhere" watch. Very pleased with this nice find.

    Great Little Watch

Posted by Matthew R on Aug 5th 2014

I bought this as a beater for my trip to Italy, and couldn't have been more pleased with this little watch. It looks great on the wrist, and is a bit flashier than most other watches in its price range. Since buying the watch, it's found its way onto my wrist more often than not! My one qualm is that the jubilee bracelet has hollow links. I may replace it with a two-tone oyster bracelet or a better jubilee, but it feels fine once you're wearing it. Again, love this little guy, and may have to buy a 3rd Squale soon! -MR
