A wide variety of watches can fall into this category. However, the traditional pilot's watch from WWII will have a large open dial look, round
case, easy to read hands, leather strap, and either a small hand sub
dial or traditional second hand. Two dials stand out from this era also. One is the Type A with large hour numbers, a sixty minute scale on the chapter ring or outer part of the dial, and a triangle at 12:00. The Type B dial (or bomber) has a large minute scale on the outer dial and a smaller inner dial for the hours. GMT dual time watches are in this category also. As are watches that feature flight computer functions, etc.
