In commemoration of the Royal Air Force’s 100th year anniversary, AVI-8 has introduced a 1960’s edition of their Centenary Flyboy. This 1960's styled Centenary Flyboy watch measures 42mm in diameter and it is powered by a reliable 21-jewel Miyota 821A automatic movement which is viewable via an exhibition window caseback. It has a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal for a clear view of the dial.

Underneath the gently domed sapphire lens, the watch reflects a careful level of detail which adds depth and interest upon view. Hand-applied brushed finish indices at the hour are combined with Arabic indexes designed in an instrumentation-like fashion to echo the details in the aircraft of the era.

The hour and minute hands are sword-shaped with a vertical brushed finish and a generous application of Swiss SuperLuminova to add functional legibility in all conditions. The inner dial is translucent, giving a subtle view of the inner mechanics of the watch. The date display is at the 3 o’clock position, and the seconds sub-dial is at the 5 o’clock position on the dial. The watch comes on a genuine leather strap with retro hand stitched tie-offs at the lugs.
