The Ballast Trafalgar model BL-3133-07 is very unique and innovative watch. It features a new patented bezel control feature which is used to both wind the mainspring of the automatic movement and more critically the bezel is used to set both time and date with ease (see video below). The watch is powered by a modified Miyota 8215, 21 Jewel Self-winding Automatic movement that also hand winds with the unique bezel system. This bezel system harkens back to instruments used in submarine clocks and timers. The power reserve of the modified movement is a lengthy 50 hours when fully wound.

The canteen on the crown is crafted out of ten individual pieces to provide protection for the setter button and crown. The case measures 46.5mm in diameter and it is 14.5mm thick. Lug width is 22mm and the water resistance is rated at 100 meters.

The Ballast Trafalgar's strap is no less an investment of time, material and design. The result is a beautifully robust, yet supple cut edge strap made from leathers tanned in Italy. Each strap is 4 mm thick yet is pliable and completely comfortable on the wrist. Cross stitched by hand, the Ballast Trafalgar strap is carefully cut, painted and finished individually. Each two tone leather strap blends perfectly to the color and tones of the case and bezel. While the strap is affixed for a strong snug fit, it is also easily removed by a self removable spring bar for future customization and versatility.
