I still can't believe this watch costs only 50 euro! It's so symmetrical, everything is where it should be, not to big not to small, kind of no nonsense watch. Cool piece from Casio and  I love everything about it.

A bargain "beater" dive watch! May 23, 2017

Although I didn't purchase this watch from LIW, I've had it for a while and before LIW carried it.  It's solid, keeps time well enough, the 120 click bezel is nice an precise, lume is pretty good and all in a classic/simple design.

I use the Casio when doing yard work or anything else that may cause damage (physical or cosmetic) to my nicer Swiss and German automatic/hand-wind watches.

I can't think of another dive watch in the $50-60 range that is this solid, reliable, from a company with name recognition (that isn't junk), that you can take out and beat the heck out of when you don't want to damage your nicer watches. For the price, you really can't go wrong by choosing this one!

Great watch for the money! January 10, 2017

20 ATM stainless steel case and crew down crown and caseback. GOOD STUFF!

The bezel is not very tight, but also has little play (wiggle); it strikes a good balance.

The dial has a nice but subtle sunray pattern. You only notice in very bright light, which gives the watch a bit of personality. The ink used for the dial printing is rather poor and almost doesn't seem 100% opaque; it kind of looks like a bit of the dial's black is coming through.

Lume sucks, but if night visibility is mission-critical you're not choosing this watch anyway.

Band also sucks, but I figure Casio knows you're going to replace it so they give you a cheap throwaway. The MDV-106 looks quite nice on NATO/ZULU straps, which makes for a great every-day wear, beater watch.

All my negatives are nitpicks and certainly not dealbeakers. If the watch was $100+ they would be. I wear mine often and I'll get a compliment or a "what watch is that?" more often that you'd think.

Cheers!
