Citizen Automatic Black Dial Watch with Stainless Steel Bracelet #NH8360-80E

We bought it as a gift for my father in-law, he had an automatic quite a long ago so it was kind of nostalgic. About the watch dang is a good bang for the buck! Has a hefty weight and it seems the bracelet is solid links, always a plus.

Thicker than I had expected but still fits under a shirt cuff. The day-date window is quite low contrast, so not very easy to read. The crown is not knurled very much so manual winding isn't very easy but still manual winding is possible. Seems well-made and solid, as one expects from Citizen. Bracelet is good quality. Accuracy is good for this price range. Very good value for money. I'm glad I bought this watch.

Marc does it again! For my next purchase from Island Watch I contacted Marc and asked his advice on Citizen. I know they are one member of the three"Japanese holy grails of watchmakers"-( along with Seiko and Orient). While my preference was for Seiko and I liked Orient I had no experience with Citizen. I asked Marc his opinion and what I might expect given what I liked about Seiko. His timely, well stated, and HONEST feedback helped me so I took the plunge and completed the hat trick of Japanese made watches by buying this Citizen. The black dial looks rich with the Roman numerals and everything else about this piece speaks quality!
