Will NOT Fit 4mm Thick Band April 23, 2018
Reviewer: Charles Dilbeck from Edmond, OK United States
Just bought this clasp to put on a Laco Pilot Watch.
Everything seems excellent about this clasp. It looks good. Seems to be very well made. I had no problems attaching it to the buckle end of the watch, but the strap end would NOT fit through the clasp. My Laco watch band measures about 4mm thick. I ended up bending the clasp out of shape trying to get it to fit.

As of the time of this review, there was nothing in the item description that specifies a band thickness range.
It might fit a 3.5mm thick band but would probably be really tight. Anything less than 3.5mm, should be good to go.

This is a good solid clasp. Easy to install and looks good. I have been wearing a previous one for about 6 months now without any problems.

I recommend this product.

Making The Strap Better March 9, 2018
Reviewer: BWB from Asbury Park, NJ United States
In my case, it's the (rather heavily-disparaged) strap Seiko equips with their otherwise-fanatically-beloved-and-now-discontinued SARB017, aka Alpinist. If you have one, and haven't yet tossed the stock strap into the Abyss, *stop* what you're doing right now and buy this clasp. Seriously, this possibly the most profound thing you can do for your watch-wearing experience for this little cash outlay, on both a physical *and* aesthetic level. It's not about making the strap "suck less", it's about changing the whole feel of the watch on your wrist.

If, however, you're dealing with an entirely different watch on an entirely different strap, the message still (mostly) holds: IMO, almost anything a conventional buckle can do, clasp can do better, and with more style to boot.
