Iron Annie Amazonas Impression Swiss Automatic Moonphase Watch #5908-1
This new Iron Annie watch is powered by a Swiss Sellita SW280 automatic movement with a moonphase function. The stark white dial features black elongated stick hour markers and black hands. A moonphase sub-dial is above 6:00 and a date window is provided at 3:00. The polished case measures 41mm in diameter by 12mm thick. A domed crystal completes the retro feel of this watch.It is a very elegant watch with a high level of fit and finish befitting its $900 price. It comes on a hand made leather strap with matching stitching.
Iron Annie Amazonas Impression
The D-AQUI airplane “Iron Annie” flew under the name "Amazonas" within the airline “Transportes Aereos Orientales” in Equador from 1957 to 1963. From there, the D-AQUI airplane transported cargo and passengers throughout the whole Amazonas area with unique impressions over the tropical rainforest. The fascination over the beautiful landscape, the sunrays that reflect in the deep blue water and the fine sand dust are embodied in the warm colors and the fine-grained dials with applied numbers.
