Islander Red Automatic Dive Watch with AR Double-Dome Sapphire Crystal, and Luminous Ceramic Bezel Insert #ISL-66

This new Islander dive watch has an angular case with a screw-down crown at 3:00. The diameter is 42mm with a thickness of 14mm. Tip to tip it is a very wearable 48mm (just 2mm more than the Islander ISL-01 and ISL-02). Note that the lug ends are drilled for easier bracelet to strap changes. The case back has a rendering of Long Island on it along with the Islander name, Island Watch and 200 meter water resistance.

Inside the ISL-66 case is an NH36, 24-jewel automatic movement with 21,600 vibrations per hour. This self-winding movement supports hand winding and hacks (seconds hand stops when you pull out the crown). Power reserve is about 41 hours fully wound. The NH36 also has both a day and date wheel viewed at 3:00 on the dial.

The sunburst red dial has SuperLuminova on the hands and hour makers and the Island Watch logo is luminous. The 120-click uni-directional sub-style bezel has a scratch-resistant black (diver marked) ceramic insert that is also treated with SuperLuminova for a maximum glow-in-the-dark experience when the lights go out.

The red dial has enhanced visibility due to the use of an anti-reflective double-dome sapphire crystal that also guards against scratches. The crystal really gives this watch a unique and distinctive look on your wrist.

And, you get a beefy bracelet with solid links, solid end links and a robust milled scissor push-button flip-lock deployant clasp with three position micro-adjustment. For sizing the bracelet, screws are used for removing bracelet links instead of pins.

NOTE: This Islander dive is compatible with aftermarket parts available at Island Watch (and elsewhere) for the SKX007 models, such as crystals, bezels, inserts, chapter rings, dials, and hands. However SKX bracelets will not fit, but Samurai bracelets will fit.

Great, a loud watch

Great quality for the price, no doubt. However, the watch is big and will make the presence known on the wrist. I was going back and forth between this and Orient red kamasu. I ultimately chose this for the specs and fun aspect of the watch. I would however recommend kamasu for someone looking for something more elegant. For those that wants to grab attention, this is one of them that will let others know that you're wearing an awesome timepiece.

Beautiful dial, excellent bracelet and terrific lume.. a little heavy but once I purchased an Islander clasp it is perfectly balanced on wrist for me. These quality watches are addicting !!

great watch except weight

Everything is good except the weight. Too heavy to wear. I got close to 7-inch wrist and it hurts after wearing it for an hour or so. No return accepted so have to sell it back with a loss.

ISL - 66 Islander, Red Dial Diver

I guess it is the season for red dials. I was looking at the Orient products until I saw the ISL-66. This is a watch that pops! So I went for the "gusto". Mark has done a fantastic job on value for the price. But let's start from the dial. It is not red, it is Merlot or Burgundy. RICH! It IS an attention getter but has class! The color is rich AND captivating. The rest of the watch is fantastic as well. Excellent fit and finish, FANTASTIC lume, (the whole thing glows without been charged, indices and bezel), ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, excellent bracelet, (proper screws, easy to remove links). The watch LOOKS chunky, but is is not, due to short lug to lug "across" dimensions. Currently it is the most INTERESTING looking watch that I own. My wife and daughter fell in love with it immediately and everyone else that has seen it. My suggestion? GO FOR IT! You will own a very! unique watch.

My first Island Watch

I received this Red beauty as a gift for my 62 birthday. Very special watch for many reasons. This watch looks so great and the specs are off the chart for this price. I do collect on a small scale but so far this watch has not left my wrist since I received it. Can's say enough about the quality and style of My islander ISL 66

This watch has it all for me. 205gms after 7" wrist sizing, double dome Sapphire crystal, sunburst deep red dial, ceramic bezel insert, NH36 day/date movement, great bracelet and case style, solid end links and milled scissor clasp. You can't buy anything from Seiko with these features for anywhere near this price, I will be back to get at least one more of this style diver.
