Description Technical Specs

Marathon Swiss Made, GSAR Automatic Military Divers Watch with Sapphire Crystal #WW194006

The Marathon Divers Automatic WW194006 is a dive watch built to ISO 6425 standards. Designed for use by Search and Rescue (SAR) divers, and issued to the United States Marine Corps, the Divers Automatic is a watch built to withstand the most extreme of conditions The Diver's Automatic is also known as the Government Search and Rescue (GSAR).

The watch is water resistant down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. Built from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the Divers Automatic is a high quality, purpose built watch that will reliably accompany you on any adventure you may embark on. The Divers Automatic uses a scratch resistant, anti reflective coated, sapphire glass crystal to ensure that the dial can be read even under direct sunlight, or deep underwater.

The Divers Automatic is made in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the Divers Automatic is a Swiss made, 25 jewel ETA 2824-A2 automatic movement, the Divers Automatic guarantees you a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience. The Divers Automatic uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations, a gas tube is placed on each hour marker and hands and uses MaraGlo for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photoluminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.

The Marathon Divers Automatic combines Military toughness with Swiss craftsmanship in a watch that will get the job done, and look good doing it.

If you are looking for an automatic beater watch that is tough as nails, look no further. This thing is built like a tank.

Great Purchase October 10, 2017

This is a GREAT watch. Its elegance is in its function not in its form. Built like a tank. Accuracy on my watch is +4 seconds per day right out of the box (that matches COSC standards). I trek the world 365 days a years as a professional wildlife, nature and travel photographer (and writer) and this is the watch I have been looking for. Long Island Watch had the watch, price and service I insist upon.

Great Watch October 6, 2017

Overall I am very pleased with the watch.  Very legible, keeps great time, and nice looking.  I would spring for the SS bracelet -- very comfortable, micro adjustments for the perfect fit and makes the watch look great!

Wrist tank August 22, 2017
Reviewer: Frederick Bigelow from FORT MYERS, FL United States
I've owned this watch for all of 20 minutes but I don't plan on taking it off any time soon. I've had more luck with the 2824 than any other mechanical movement, so that's what ended up sealing the deal for me. It's not as heavy as it looks in pictures, and wears smaller than I expected, but turned out to be the perfect size for my 7" wrist and it's as solid as a main battle tank.  It sits higher than a modern Submariner, but no taller than a Seiko monster, which isn't really all that tall in modern terms.  The tritium tubes are subdued, but you'll be able to see the time in low/no light with ease. Also, Marc got this to me three days after I ordered it. Best price I've found and it shipped as fast as Amazon prime. I'll be ordering from Long Island Watch again.
