Marathon Swiss Made, (Medium) GSAR Automatic Military Divers Watch with Sapphire Crystal #WW194026BRACE-MA-WD

The Marathon Diver’s Automatic Medium is a dive watch built to ISO 6425 standards but is a smaller, medium sized, version of Marathon’s line of diver’s watches, perfect for someone who wants a tough, reliable, and military issue dive watch, yet prefers a reduced size watch that is just as tough as its larger brothers.

The Diver’s Automatic Medium is a dive watch certified for water resistance down to 30 ATM - 300 meters (1000 feet) underwater. The Diver’s Automatic Medium uses a scratch resistant sapphire glass crystal to ensure it maintains maximum legibility. Built from 316L surgical grade stainless steel, the Diver’s Automatic Medium is a tough watch that is comfortable for people with smaller wrists.

This version of the Diver’s Automatic Medium includes a brushed stainless steel bracelet with an M logo on the deployant clasp .

The Diver’s Automatic Medium is made in La Chaux de Fonds Switzerland to guarantee the highest level of quality and accuracy in manufacturing. Inside the Diver’s Automatic is a Swiss made, 26 jewel Sellita SW200 automatic movement, the Diver’s Automatic Medium guarantees you a reliable and accurate timekeeping experience. The Diver’s Automatic Medium uses self contained Tritium gas tubes to ensure constant visibility in low light situations, a gas tube is placed on each hour marker and hands and uses MaraGlo for the 12 hour bezel marker. Tritium tubes are self illuminating gas tubes which contain an isotope of hydrogen, meaning they will not dull down in brightness like normal photoluminescent paint which requires an external light source to create a glow.

The Diver’s Automatic Medium boasts the same toughness, water resistance, and movement as the larger Marathon diver’s watches in a compact package. To maintain proper tracking for maintenance, each Diver’s Automatic Medium comes individually numbered and engraved with a serial number.

Speedy delivery. Impeccable service. I could not be more pleased.

The watch itself is exactly what I wanted. The white "arctic" dial sets it apart from other boring black dial divers and the industrial design is doing a superb job of not making it look like a Rolex. The 36mm size fits my wrist perfectly and the Tritium illumination is just what I need, as I'm one of those who often wakes up in the middle of the night.

long Island watch has fast shipping. Excellent customer service. This is my 3rd marathon watch. I have a csar, gsar, and now the white face msar automatic.  I'm a big guy at 6'7" 300 pounds and when I put this watch on and asked my wife if it looked small on me.  She laughed and said who cares how big your watch looks. The band is small it fit perfect out of the box without taking any links out. This is my favorite watch now.  Easy to read in any light

I shopped for a tritium marker watch, and it HAD to be a mechanical movement to get me to part with any cash. I had never seen a Marathon, but, I trusted Long Island Watch enough to give this one a whirl, and I am glad that I did. The build quality of this watch is above par. And this opinion comes from my experience of buliding mechanical goods, and having machine shop experience. The bracelet is nice enough with machined links, and an average clasp, but the fit and finish of the watch is very good, with good materials used. Sellita SW 200 movement runs very well.  Overall a great value for dollar proposition, and, as always, a smooth transaction with Long Island Watch.

Not one to worry about if my watch is "big enough for my manly wrist", I've always favored a "normal" size watch, as they fit better under the sleeve of a leather coat, and are unobtrusive for actual use. I absolutely love this Marathon. Fit and quality are above reproach, especially for the money. And the luminosity of the tritium is awesome. Always there no matter what. SW200 movement is a known unit, and this one performs as expected. And, as always, a straightforward transaction with Long Island Watch.

A no-nonsense keepsake from the age of mechanical things. Brushed stainless stealth. Built like a brick bleephouse. Uniquely visible all night. All in a 60s-cool case size that fits under a shirt sleeve and built in the oldest watch house in the world (Gallet & Co. 1466. Take that, Blancpain).

Oh, plus, it's a little effing radioactive.

I like it.
