The Martenero Marquis is a modern take on the classic dress watch. Martenero set out to create something classic and refined, but with enough personality so that it doesn’t feel too formal. And while the overall look of the Marquis is very clean, the dial construction is deceptively complex. The outer ring on the perimeter is made of a second layer of brass, which combined with the applied hourly indices creates a strong layering effect on the dial. The color palette of the dial(s) and hands is intentionally stark, and the hands are a classic dauphine style in keeping with the classic nature of the watch.

The 42mm case is made from 316L stainless steel and the crystal is sapphire (on the front and back). Inside powering the watch is a very capable high beat (28,800 beat per hour) Miyota 9015 automatic movement with 45 hours of power reserve. The watch comes on a high quality leather strap fitted to a 20mm lug width.
