Messerschmitt Radiant Blue Dial Special Edition Quartz Dress Watch #KR200-BMil

Messerschmitt Radiant Blue Dial Special Edition Quartz Dress Watch #KR200-BMil

This new Messerschmitt special edition watch is designed to pay homage to the rare and short lived Messerschmitt KR200 three wheeled automobile that went on sale in Germany in 1955. To promote the car, a special edition model was run at the Hockenheimring to set a 24-hour speed record and it broke 22 international speed records in its class, including the 24-hour speed record, which it set at 103 km/h. The car was discontinued in 1964. The KR200-BBMil watch features a dome mineral crystal, a beautiful radiant blue dial with silver hands and hour markers, a date window at 3:00, and a 38.5mm stainless steel case with a screw-in case back. The watch is powered by a Swiss Ronda 515 quartz movement and it comes on a stainless steel milanaise mesh bracelet. Includes a gift tin with a rendering of the KR200 car on the top.

    Excellent watch.

I received this as an anniversary gift from my wife. I had been looking to get one for myself for quite a while but they were and are continually out of stock. I'm surprised not to see more reviews as hard as they are get. I was very much impressed by the quality and classy looks of my new watch. I'm new to the collecting aspect of watches but have currently 26 in my collection including the Citizen Night Hawk Blue Angel, a couple of Tissots, a Bulova Precisionist, Graf Zeppelin, and others. This was a great addition to the collection. If I have anything negative to add it would be with the mesh band. Except to move the pins within the clasp (I had to move it in to the smallest width) the band itself is not adjustable. For me this is not really a major factor in my review as I purchased a conventional stainless band to replace it and the watch itself is the real star. Stunning blue dial color which is very much in line with its portrayal on the website. Love it!

    Standout Watch

I waited for this watch and was not disappointed. It went into my collection and was a standout among the other watch. The crystal face seem to shine back at me. The band was even more impress. I could not have gotten a more classy watch--top-notch.
