Orient Long Island Ray II Automatic Watch with Strapcode Super-O "Boyer" Bracelet and AR Double-Domed Sapphire Crystal #AA02005D-LI

This Orient Long Island Ray II has been professionally modified to include a double-domed anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Plus, it has been modified with a more robust Strapcode Super-O Boyer bracelet.

The Sapphire crystal not only resists scratches, but it also provides a sharper view of the dial and hands. And, it helps keeps the watch looking new over time. There is a bluish hue when viewing the domed crystal at some angles due to the anti-reflective coating used. Also, because the crystal has a domed top and a domed bottom, it does not have a magnification effect. The thickness of the crystal is 4.6mm.

The Strapcode Super-O Boyer bracelet has several advantages over the stock OEM bracelet on the Orient Ray II. It is all solid links including the end links at the lugs. The links are screwed-in instead of push pins and they are slightly thicker at 3.4mm. The deployant clasp is machined milled from solid 316L stainless steel vs. the Orient OEM bracelet which is simply stamped steel. The Strapcode deployant clasp also has six fine adjustments. The Strapcode Super-O tapers from 22mm at the lugs to 18mm at the clasp. Overall length is 190mm. Net weight is 93 grams.

The Long Island Orient Ray is powered by a 22-jewel, Caliber F69 automatic movement. This movement is self-winding, hand winding, and it hacks (second hand halts when you pull out the crown). The Long Island Ray watch has an improved uni-directional bezel with 120 clicks, and it has a new case design for a trim, more simplified look. The case size comes in at 41.5mm in diameter and it's about 13mm thick. Also included with your purchase is a pair of Island Watch soft white gloves suitable for safe watch handling and polishing (These are the same gloves Marc wears in the Island Watch YouTube videos).

Note: Water Resistance - Changing the crystal can affect the water resistance of the watch. After modification, every watch has been tested to 100 feet of water resistance, the Swiss standard for water resistance. Additionally, one watch from every batch modified has been tested to 330 feet of water resistance. Island Watch guarantees water resistance during regular recreational use, but is not recommended for scuba diving.

Great value with a little extra substance

I have enjoyed the Orient Ray II with StrapCode Super Oyster Bracelet and pre-installed AR Sapphire Crystal. The StrapCode bracelet is very comfortable, high quality and has just the right taper. Value is my number one priority in a watch and this product checks all those boxes. Thanks LIW!

Great service, great watch

Marc and the LIW team transformed a really great value watch into something much nicer. I had a hard time deciding between this one and the new Kamasu and the Mako USA . I am so glad I decided to get this one. The other ones and their reloaded versions will wait around. Not this one. I exchanged several emails with Marc about which one I should get, making it clear that I knew they had an obvious interest to sell their own creation. I ended up choosing this one and I am glad I did. Regarding Long Island Watches, I wish all businesses were like them.

This watch is a beauty. The modifications , bracelet and sapphire crystal make this watch a very attractive value. I have worn the piece for the past two days, I am seeing about 5 or 6 seconds per day fast. The bracelet is nicer than the one on my Rolex Explorer.

Delivery was as promised. The watch looks better in person, and it looked really nice in pictures to begin with. Swiss wearing colleagues at work have noticed / complimented it. In my possession for a few weeks now and itâ€™s gaining only 4.5 seconds per day.
