Orient USA II Blue Dial Automatic Dive Watch with Sapphire Crystal #AA0200BD

I purchased the Orient USA 2, blue dial. I also ordered Marc's ceramic bezel insert and coin edge bezel. Huge improvement ! This watch gets more wrist time than most of the watches in my collection. I have made multiple purchases from LIW and will continue to be a customer.

I was a little disappointed when I opened the box. It looks small to me for the stated dial size. I have a Tissot 43mm diameter that is significantly larger so that's puzzling. Also, the quality of the bezel is questionable. There are a couple spots where the blue color is missing, like it was either scratched during production or never really done that well initially. I had seen a YouTube review of this watch where the reviewer said the same thing. It seems to have an accurate movement so far; it's not bad and I will keep it and wear it, but it just isn't great.

Overall I am very pleased with the watch and the service from LIW. The watch is running about +6 to +9 seconds daily resting crown up at night to slow it down from the +11 during day when it is on my wrist. It wears well on my 6.5 inch wrist and I love the blue dial. I bought a sub-style bezel and a dark blue ceramic driver's bezel at the same time which I installed with no problems. My only issue with the watch is the bracelet. No combination on removed links and micro adjust work quite right. It needs at least one more position of micro adjust. There is not after market bracelet made specifically for this watch. I bought one of Marc's branded seat belt strap material MATO style straps in blue with gray accent and am happy with the result.

An absolute cracker of a watch! That beautiful blue dial is a real stunner! Despite the fact that it is a cousin of the Orient Ray and Mako II, this one is really above them : sapphire crystal, drilled lugs, beautiful indices, great dial size and all these at that low cost! Way to go, Mark!

I'd been reading about Orient watches and decided to take the plunge. Very happy with the purchase! Bracelet adjustment was easy (plain pins) and it fits well. Both the bezel and the crown were a bit tight at first, but they appear to be loosening up with use. I actually replaced the original bezel with a Sub-Style and added the "Batman" dual-time insert. Looks great!

It's an outstanding, stuunning, spectacular looking- solid, high quality watch!

This semi chunky diver is rugged and elegant at the same time. For me the blue face & bezel were attractive. I wear it with pride & use it in most daily activities. Cuz love to wear it and love to stare at times. The light changes the hugh as it crosses over the face. Band was simple to adjust (buy the tool) and looks and feels great. Orient makes their own movements and this 22 jewel auto seems flawless to me. Very Satified. Will do more w/ IW down the road. Great shop.

A follow up review. About 3 to 4 weeks, and the Mako USA II has lost only 5 seconds per day on the winder. This is a right sized, right priced, right performing, and downright beautiful watch. Very dark blue with some iridescence. The sapphire crystal is a great value add. Looks super on a tropical black rubber diver strap or NATO of your choice. I may upgrade the bezel and insert at some point but the native bezel looks and works just fine. Love this movement... really nice work on the inside, too.

Bought this watch for my hubby. He loves it! Orient offeres a great product at a great price.
