The modern design of the Sentinel is what really makes this watch stand out. For instance, the dial employs a concentric pattern in the center that transitions into a sunburst finish along the outer edge. This creates a neat reflection effect, and allows light to catch the dial in a truly unique way. The hands also play a role in the uniqueness of the design, with a cut out rectangular hour hand opposite a broad minute hand.

The modest 40.5mm size of the Sentinel makes it instantly wearable for most. The case is mostly brushed stainless steel, with the exception of the black PVD bezel and the caseback (which is an exhibition window). The Sentinel is one of the first Orient models to be powered by the new caliber F6722 movement, which is automatic and can be hand-wound. It also can be hacked (second hand stops when you pull out the crown).

    Good looking watch! I like the diminutive thickness for an automatic, and the nice exhibition back. Great price too (Black Friday).

    Great watch! I love the rubber strap. The look is amazing. The black dial with the silver hands surrounded by PVD bezel. So far it has been +4 sec/day fast in the week that I have had it. One bad thing, You cannot read it very well in low light conditions. No lume at all. It has a sporty look, just don't forget that this is an automatic, not a G shock.

    In my opinion, you can't beat black on black for a great looking watch. This is a casual watch, but the black bezel, black dial and black strap really look sharp together. The strap is a thick rubber, which looks substantial and feels great. The movement is keeping time at about +7 seconds/day for me right now, which is excellent. I love that you can manually wind it, and that it hacks. The only thing it's missing is a lume, but that's not a big deal.
