This is a new, larger, stronger built version of the extremely popular Orient Mako. The Mako XL has a larger case size (46mm), an improved and beefier bracelet, a larger uni-directional bezel with easier to read numbers, and larger hour markers that are treated with luminous material. The second hand is now moon-shaped and luminous to help let you know your watch is operating under water and in the dark. Inside is the "bullet-proof" Orient 21-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement. Features a screw-down crown and case back.

    Although this is an 'old' product I bought it to complement my Orient Black Ray. It is larger, better finished and appointed than the standard Mako. My only quibble is that the lume on the indices is quite average. Long Island is to commended on their packing and shipment (to Australia) was surprisingly swift.

    Great watch for the money. Can now wear something less expensive and feel good about it. Great looking and has a good feel to it.
