Orient 21-Jewel Automatic Field Watch with 24-Hour Sub-Dial #ET0N002K

This is a new Orient field watch with a grey dial and white luminous hands and hour markers. Date is at 6:00 with the day of the week shown in a sub-dial at 3:00. At 11:00 on the dial is a 24-hour sub-dial that is handy for tracking military time. The watch is powered by a Orient made 21-jewel automatic (self-winding) movement housed in a 42mm matte finished stainless steel case. It comes with black aviator grained leather strap with white stitching. 22mm lug width.

Great watch

Crown is a bit fiddley at times as it is a little small and doesn't always want to thread up.. the lack of a quickset day is a bit of a pain sometimes too... other than that it looks great and just works.

Best bang for the buck out there

You get a real unique for the price with some great complications. Although the leather strap is of good quality, I changed mine out for a black rubber strap as I didn't like the white stitching. The watch is definitely more of a casual type beater watch. It is super legible and has beautiful contrast. Orient always knocks it out of the park.

Orient and Seiko are THE BEST value proposition watches one can purchase. Reasonable pricing, case finishing, in-house movements; what's not to like!? One can spend far more and receive far less. The Orient Defender Field Watch is an elegant watch suitable for outdoor activities as well as business events. This is my 20th Orient watch purchase and I reslly enjoy the dial layout and day subdial complication. A worthy addition alongside my many Bambinos to my growing Orient collection.

If you don't want to spend the hundreds of dollars more on a Hamilton, this is the watch for you. It's perfect on my wrist and keeps great time. I got the grey dial. I think maybe I might have preferred the cream dial but the grey is very classy looking.
