Orient King Diver Re-issue 200 Meter Dive Watch with Automatic Movement #RA-AA0D02R1HB

The Orient model RA-AA0D02R1HB is a reissue of the 1965 Weekly Auto Orient King Diver with some modern touches and improvements. It’s not just a recreation—it’s an upgrade to the classic model. The original dial design has stayed intact however, complete with bar hour markers, luminous hands, detailed increment markings, and luminous pips in the center.

Inner bezel adjustments can still be made by the crown at two o’clock, while time setting is handled at four o’clock. When the Weekly Auto Orient King Diver was originally released in 1965, it featured a mere 40m of water resistance, which was on par with normal watches at the time. For this new re-creation the water resistance has been boosted to 200 meters. The case size has also been increased about 1mm. The movement has been upgraded from the original automatic caliber 660 to the new modern caliber F6922 which is automatic, hand-winding, and hacking.
Watch Features:
  • Movement: Orient Cal. F6922 Automatic (self-winding, hand wind, hacking)
  • Case: Stainless steel, 43.8mm x 14mm
  • Back: Solid screw-in back
  • Crystal: Domed Mineral
  • Band: Stainless steel bracelet, push-button deployant clasp, 20mm
  • Water Resistant: 200 meters
  • Warranty: 1 Year

This watch is a very nice looking peice. It is rather large, wears comfortably and looks good.I got it because a bezel under the crystal is rare, and Oreint makes good watches.
I also have one of Marc's Islander divers, which is my favorite diver

I've been a freak about Orient watches for almost 20 years. Of course I was attracted to this watch immediately. It's very true to the original. I'm wearing it right now, and it's a great watch. However, it was a little pricy for a watch without a sapphire crystal. No big issue for me, but something to consider.
