5 of 5 Even Better on the arm! August 31, 2020

I received my Oriental Helios watch in blue and it's stunning. I was afraid the size might dwarf my wrist but it looks just fine. This watch has some weight to it and is very nicely finished. I had to drop by a swanky jeweler to take a few links out of the bracelet. First thing the jeweler said was what a beautiful watch it is and that he wasn't familiar with Orient. I gave him a brief rundown on what they offer. While addressing the bracelet, he stated several more time what a beautiful watch itis. And this from a guy who's main watch offerings are Omegas! Thanks Island Watch, I've got more on my wish list!

5 of 5 Not just "nice for the price". Gorgeous, versatile June 2, 2019

There's so much to love about the Helios - both for someone who just wants a watch that looks and runs great, as well as for enthusiasts.

The blue dial changes a lot under different lighting and as you move your wrist. (Search YouTube for "Orient Helios" - Long Island Watch has a video that gives a better idea than the photos.)

The open heart is mesmerizing - especially for people new to mechanical watches, as it exposes the relationship between the hairspring, balance wheel, and escapement.

The intricate visual details on this watch are lovely, and on a level usually found in far more expensive watches. I am a relatively new collector with 5 sub-$600 MSRP watches, and this is the only one without visible manufacturing flaws.

This is a dress watch, but it dresses up and down so well for plenty of occasions. I avoid wearing it for rough activity - the domed mineral glass isn't shielded from scratches.

This is a great watch for the office or any non-sport social activity.

2 of 5 Initially watch was perfect May 24, 2019

I purchased this watch for my fiancé and initially, it was beautiful! After one week of wear the watch face became scratched. He was disappointed as the watch face was supposedly very difficult (i.e. nearly impossible) to scratch, leading me to think there was a defect in the product. We contacted Long Island Watch and they refused to replace the watch or allow a return as the scratch was considered normal wear and tear.
