Description Technical Specs

Orient Neptune Dive Watch with Power Reserve and AR Sapphire Crystal #RA-EL0003B00A

The Neptune watch takes design cues from a number of classic Orient dive models. The hour markers take after the Ray, while the brushed steel hands are nearly identical to those on the Pro Saturation Diver. Each hour marker is defined by a thick luminous dot that’s surrounded by polished metal, which allows the dial to be visible in both daylight and in darkness. Additionally, the matte dial allows the hour markers and hands to stand out during the day. The bezel features a matte insert, and rotates uni-directional at 120 clicks. Like the other higher-end Orient divers, the Triton boasts a date display as well as a very useful power reserve indicator.

The size of the Neptune falls between the Mako and past M-Force watches at 43.4mm wide and 13.6mm thick. It bears the DIVERS 200M stamp on the dial and is compliant with the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS) for a Class 1 Diver watch, making it suitable for recreational SCUBA diving. It is powered by the Orient caliber 40N5A, the same automatic, hand-winding and hacking movement used in the Pro Saturation Diver. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal provides a clear view of the dial and helps guard against scratches. NOTE: We can only sell and ship this watch to the U.S. and Canada.

Watch Features:
  • Movement: Orient Cal. 40N5A Automatic (self-winding, hand wind, hacking)
  • Case: Stainless steel, 43.4mm x 13.6mm
  • Back: Solid screw-in back
  • Crystal: Anti-reflective sapphire

5 of 5 Great Buy, Great Watch, Great Price July 13, 2020

Bought this watch based on the what I read re Orient and Seiko watches. When I received the Neptune, I was impressed by the build quality. In fact I like it so much I plan to buy a blue version for my college aged grandson .

5 of 5 Orient Neptune is amazing, the service is better May 18, 2020

Well, this is the second one I bought from Marc. I know they sometimes have loose crowns.

Anyway, I get mine, crown falls off, I email Marc, he literally has a replacement on my doorstep within 36 hours.

I obviously love this watch, I have two. I hear horror stories in watch forums of dudes trying to get their orients repaired. If you're trying to save 40 bucks by shopping on Ebay or Amazon, don't.

If you ever want to sell your watch, they are worth more when you bought form Marc and keep your receipt, and if anything goes wrong, Marc is going to overnight you a new watch.

Other companies/corporations could learn from Marc when it comes to customer service.

The bezel action is mediocre. Otherwise, nice watch.

4 of 5 Watch review March 23, 2019

Dealing with Marc is always a pleasure. Transaction simple, he is accessible for questions. Watch shows up when it should.
The watch: Downsides; was surprised by how cheap the bezel action felt. In comparison to my less expensive Seiko Padi diver turtle, more play, not nearly as nice.
The pin and collar system on the bracelet is also much tougher to deal with than on the Seiko. The collars are split, so easier to damage. I had to end up taking it in to be sized.
Crown, also mildly fiddly as noted in other reviews. Not a huge deal though.
Black dial is a bit boring/flat, but I wanted the gold accent on the bezel, so that was my trade off. Im sure the blue is very nice.
Upsides: Lume is very cleanly and fully applied. Gold borders of indicies are crisp and even. Power indicator wasn't something I was to hot on, but is fun to have now that I used it.

Im not unhappy with it. Would have liked bezel action to be tighter. Otherwise seems a nice watch so far.
