Orient Star Open-Heart Automatic with Sapphire Crystal and Power Reserve #DA02001W

This Two-Tone Orient Star Open-Heart is powered by an Orient made Cal. 40R53 automatic (self-winding) movement that can be hand wound and has hacking capability. The movement has a power reserve of 40 hours. The hands and dots at the hour markers are treated with luminous material for viewing in the dark. The white dial has an open-heart at 9:00 that allows you to see the balance wheel in action as you wear the watch. Also, there is a very useful power reserve indicator at the 12:00 position that shows up to 40 hours of run-time when full wound.

The case is a mix of polished and satin brushed finishes. The yellow goldtone crown is signed with the Orient Star logo. The two-tone bracelet is a fine combination of polished links and gently satin brushed stainless steel. The polished parts are yellow gold plated to match the goldtone applied hour markers and hands on the white dial. The clasp is double button fold-over and proudly features the Orient Star logo engraving. The case measures at 39mm in diameter and 11.9mm thick. All Orient Star Open-Heart models feature an exhibition case back, and the movement is fully decorated with an Orient Star logo on the oscillating weight.

The Open-Heart models also feature a flat, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating to allow clear reading of the time at different angles. Overall, it is a beautiful, high quality watch that you will be proud to own.

Great watch, I love Orient as an overall brand and this watch is just so elegant, so classy and a great dress up watch. It looks even better in person and Long Island's price was just right. I will certainly be purchasing here again.

Very nice watch, has everything I was looking for - solid construction, sapphire crystal, display back, interesting-looking dial, cool open-heart bit. Also nice movement: hand winding and hacking. And, as Orient always points out, "true in-house manufacture." Really a very good watch for the price.

This watch is superb value for your dollar at the bargain price of $299.00 from Long Island Watch. The watch is a good looking timepiece, great build quality, accurate to about twenty seconds a week and has very good features.I doubt that you will find better value anywhere.
