PHOIBOS 300-Meter Swiss Quartz Dive Watch with Sapphire Crystal #PX002C

This very affordable and handsome Phoibos dive watch is an incredible value. It features a 42mm diameter 316L grade stainless steel case, a solid link stainless steel bracelet (with solid end links also), a three-fold clasp with push-button release, Swiss Super-LumiNova BGW9 treated hands and hour markers, a screw-down crown, a scratch resistant sapphire crystal, a date window (with cyclops), a screw-in caseback, and a 120-click uni-directional bezel. That is a lot of great features for the price!

The watch is powered by a reliable and accurate Swiss Ronda 515 quartz movement. Water resistance is good to 300 meters which is suitable for swimming, snorkeling and scuba diving. The watch weighs 180 grams. The Swiss Made Ronda 515 movement takes an easy to find 371 (1.5 V) battery.

Note: The PX002C watch now comes (as of Dec. 14, 2019) without a cyclops magnifier on the date window at 3:00.

4 of 5 Life is like a box of chocolate... August 9, 2020

Forest Gump said life is like a box of chocolate cause you don't know what you get till you open it.   It couldn't be more true with my PX002C purchase.  With a quartz watch, it is common the second hand do not hit its marks.  I didn't think this would be an issue for this watch from all the rave reviews on the net.  When I open the box for the first time, I was horrified to see the sec. hand was180 degree out of phase with the index marks.  After some googling, I learn this is common issue and in most cases, it is just visual distraction and should not affect the watch's accuracy.   Having had the watch for a couple of days, I can confirm this.   Unfortunatly, my OCD was working overtime despite the watch keeping excellent time.  After having it for a week, I am glad I did not return it.  I learn to look past the misalignment issue and is able to enjoy the watch for what it is.  Its $119 watch with sapphire crystal and keeps very accurate time.

3 of 5 Okay for the price June 22, 2020

Overall the build quality is good. The bracelet is not real heavy and rattles a bit but it looks nice and it works. The lume is disappointing; I saw a video review of the PY007 automatic version and thought they'd use the same material, but not so. The quartz movement is nice. I like the logo because it makes me look like I'm in SPECTRE.

I'm impressed with the overall visual, including the face, the logo, the hour markers size, etc.  I really like the solid 120 clicks of the unidirectional bezel. i set it to the world clock and in three weeks, it is still in sync - to the second.
