Perfect one-watch collection June 17, 2019
Reviewer: William Stanke from Moscow, ID United States
This is a review of the Phoibos PY-007C watch (black dial version). I am fond of divers with green or blue dials, but decided to order the black dial this time, with the idea that it could be the "one watch you could wear everyday, with every outfit."

So far, the watch has lived up to all of the favorable reviews I have seen on YouTube. Both the watch and the bracelet are extremely well-made. The Miyota movement is very accurate, the dial is very legible, and the lume is great.

My quibbles with the watch are few: the pins were difficult to remove when I was sizing the bracelet, but that is a one-time event. The bracelet links are all polished. I think it might be more visually interesting if the center link were a brushed finish, rather than a polished finish. The dial is a flat black, and has almost no "sunburst" effect. These are all small niggles.

Long-Island Watch was great to work with, and the watch arrived speedily.

Excellent watch,  glad it was back in stock. A tremendous value , movement, crystal, ceramic dial. Smooth operation, great value. Wished other favorites , Seiko and others would  check the basics of what customers want.

Good watch, great company May 30, 2019
Reviewer: C.S. from NJ United States
I received my watch and there seemed to be a quality control problem from the factory. Marc quickly sent out a new one with a mailing slip to return the original one. The customer service was outstanding.
The watch: The Phoibos is just about as nice as I expected. The bezel action is a little tight, but it has no play, and it aligned better than my Seiko Samurai. The hands are perfectly aligned and all applied markers are in their proper location. Again, more than I can say about my Samurai with msrp's twice what the Phoibos does. The lume is great, the case is flawless, and the bracelet (although a little squeaky) is pretty comfortable. The 40mm case size is one reason I went to this watch over other options like the Ray 2 and it wears very comfortably, especially on a leather NATO. It should be noted, the spring bars are VERY tight to the case, so you'll need to source some curved bars online to make a NATO fit.
Overall, good watch, great value, great LIW.

Don't remove the bezel May 18, 2019
Reviewer: Mike
It is, or was, a really nice watch, but the bezel insert was almost exactly halfway between minute marks, so it never lined up.  I removed the bezel to  realign the insert and when I tried to reinstall it I realized the bezel was bent.  It took so much force to lift that it ruined it.  It may be possible to remove the insert without removing the bezel, with sharp tools or glue.  Not sure.
