5 of 5 Solid, great craftsmanship! July 5, 2020

I’ll get this out of the way first: I had some trouble getting the movement to actually start after several ins and outs of the crown/winding/etc. But, after a little fiddling, it is running like a champ.

I have many dive watches, but this is my first Islander. I am really impressed by the build quality and how solid everything feels. It is a hefty watch and “feels” a little heavier than my Seiko Samurai, although I haven’t compared actual weight yet. The full-lume dial is wonderful with the black hands. It’s very legible at night and the lume lasts for quite some time.

The bracelet feels great just like the other engineers I have (a bit different design, though) and is very easy to adjust. Everything is lined up great and I really enjoy wearing the Islander!
