Description Technical Specs

Seiko Prospex Third Generation Monster with Seiko 6R15, 23-Jewel Automatic Movement #SBDC067

This is a new third generation (blue dial) Seiko Prospex SBDC067 that comes with the higher grade Seiko 6R15 automatic movement. It has been nicknamed the Blue Coral Reef Monster due to the vibrant sunburst blue dial.

The 6R15 uses a high capacity Spron 510 mainspring to provide a 50 hour runtime when fully wound. That is about nine hours greater than the now discontinued Seiko Monster II with its Caliber 4R36 movement. The movement also hand winds and is hackable. The powerful Seiko LumiBrite luminescent material used on the hands and markers gives the watch a bright greenish-blue glow in the dark (when charged with light) for several hours. The hour markers on this edition only use the shark-tooth design from the Monster II at 12:00.

Lug width is 20mm. Case size is 42.3mm. Slightly domed Hardlex mineral crystal. Concave uni-directional rotating dive bezel helps protect the crystal. It has a Seiko stainless steel bracelet with dual push-button deployant clasp (and diver extension). Solid screw-in case back. Water resistant to 200 meters. Date window at 3:00.

Watch is built like a tank June 17, 2019

I love everything about the watch but especially the blue dial.  It makes the watch.  Some people didn't like the watch at first.  I wear it everyday and over time, it has won over even the detractors.  Recommend this watch wholeheartedly.

The Blue Coral Monster Is Stunning April 29, 2019
Reviewer: Melvin Hughes from Sparta, TN United States
After watching Marc talk about his Monster and viewing him going through his inventory, I was really hooked on the idea of having one of my own.  When Marc sent out the notification with photos of the Blue Coral, something just clicked.  The watch arrived today.  It is indeed a Monster!  But even so, on my 7 1/4" wrist, it fits fine.  The fit and finish are really amazing.  I am not a big bracelet fan but this one with its alternating polished and brushed finishes as well as those on the watch are beautiful.  The face is almost iridescent, changing hues with every minute change of light.  The Seiko Lume is incredible!  I have never had a lumed watch this bright before...  Granted my tritium watches may glow longer but not nearly as brightly as this Monster!  All in all, I am only sorry I waited so long to discover the Seiko Monsters.  Dealing with Long Island Watch has been excellent.  My questions were answered quickly and honestly.  I am one happy customer!
