Seiko SKX007 Divers Watch With Super Oyster Bracelet

This Seiko SKX011-X1 watch has been specially custom modified by Island Watch as a limited quantity, custom version of the model SKX011. It been fitted with a Strapcode Super-O "Boyer" Bracelet as a custom upgrade to the OEM Seiko bracelet. It also has been upgraded with a double-dome scratch-resistant AR (anti-reflective) sapphire crystal, a coin-edge stainless steel bezel with a ceramic blue insert with luminous markings, and blue Mercedes style hands. The SKX011-X1 special edition retains Seiko's well proven 7S26 automatic (self-winding) movement with a day and date display.

The Strapcode Super-O "Boyer" bracelet has several advantages over the stock Seiko OEM bracelet. It is all solid links including the end links at the lugs. The links are screwed-in instead of push pins and they are slightly thicker at 3.4mm. The deployant clasp is machined milled from solid 316L stainless steel vs. the Seiko OEM bracelet which is simply stamped steel. The Strapcode deployant clasp also has six fine adjustments (one more than the Seiko OEM bracelet). The Strapcode Super-O "Boyer" tapers from 22mm at the lugs to 18mm at the clasp. Overall length is 175mm. Net weight is 93 grams. The bracelet is secured to the SKX011 using a pair of FAT spring bars to eliminate rattle while wearing.

The Double-Dome Sapphire Crystal used in place of the Seiko OEM Hardlex is 4.6mm thick and has been professionally installed. The crystal has a blue hue anti-reflective coating.

* Water Resistance - the Seiko SKX011 is an ISO 6425 diver rated to 200M water resistance. Changing the crystal can affect the water resistance of the watch. After our modification, the SKX011-X1 watches have been tested to 100 meters of water resistance. Island Watch guarantees water resistance during regular recreational use, but is not recommended for scuba diving.

Great watch great value and unique timepiece. The idea is a great idea and outstanding combination. I have made a couple more modifications to further personalize the watch. The customer service is great. I emailed a couple questions before the purchase. Questions were answered quickly and very detailed. I am looking forward to the next transaction.

Everything about Long Island watch is first class. The selection and price is great with nice options to order your way which you will not have access to unless you live in a major centre which I donâ€™t here in Canada. The only draw back is the shipping time which isnâ€™t their fault especially considering the flat shipping rate. However having ordered a watch from Gnome in Singapore at the same time it arrived 10 days earlier from the other side of the planet which is a little frustrating . Everything else is superb.

I was initially excited on the watch until I was going through the airport and the band came apart I had to go to a watch repair shop and pay $20 to get the pin fixed the guy who repaired the watch was very surprised at the poor quality of pins used.

As soon as I saw Marc showing this watch, I had to have it! I get many complements on it everyday! Thanks Marc, great job on this watch.............although I wish when I bought the Orient Mako USA II last month for $299 , you would have told me you were going to sell it for $199 starting today! Ouch!! :)

The watch is eye popping. I already had an unmodded skx011. I crunched the numbers. I was way better off buying Island Watches special mod than buying the parts and paying a watchmaker for installation. I'll be selling my unmodded version with nato straps soon. Very pleased. Thanks Marc!!
