Gorgeous watch April 18, 2018

You have to see it in person, or at least in a video because, as is almost always the case, watches just look bland in pictures. In the sun it is stunning.  I did get a ceramic bezel insert so I could have lume and more precise graduations and also got a black with blue stitching sailcloth strap for it. That combo is drop dead beautiful. I do have to take off a star though because it runs almost 30 seconds a day slow so I'll have to tweak it to get it to run more accurately. Also, being non hand-winding, it tends to die sooner than you expect if you don't wear it for a day or two because even shaking it just isn't a very efficient way to wind it up. When I see all the watches out there that cost more and have boring looks and cheap movements, I just don't know how Seiko does it. So much watch for the money and it is absolutely beautiful.

My first purchase from Island Watch Co. February 26, 2018
Reviewer: John Welchli from Jackson, MI United States
I did a lot of research for the watch I wanted and saw several videos by Mark from Island Watch regarding watch types and styles and different types of upgrades etc.  He was very informative was very genuine.  His presentation and relaxed style convinced me to buy my new Seiko from Island Watch even though I could have saved $10-20 buying the watch from somewhere else online.

I am looking to  make another purchase and would like to use your services again.

Thank you,

John Welchli

affordable fifty fathoms July 29, 2017

You have probably heard this before, but pictures don't do this watch justice.  The domed crystal and reflective indices really catch and play with the light.   The enameled bezel is amazing, and the lume is functional, but not overdone. This is a clear homage to the original dive watch, the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms, but is clearly a Seiko.   It is a very flexible look, that could easily be worn as a dress, casual, or sport watch.  The bracelet is nicer quality that I would have expected at this price point.   About the only knock is that it doesn't have a screw down crown.

Beautiful watch and great service May 5, 2017

My wife purchased this watch for me as a birthday gift.  She had a really hard time finding it and when she went to order it, it was out of stock.  All it took was a quick email to Marc.  He located the watch for her and was able to get it to her in time for my birthday.  Thank you so much!  It is a great watch.

While it's not a Japanese model - the fit and finish are great ! The blue dial POPS in a way that pictures can't show.
