I've had many Seiko dive watches over the last 30 years or so.  They usually last between 3-7 years and then more often than not i will see the crown fall off the watch with rust on the shaft threads. Usually the watch starts to cloud with moisture by then as well.  I've never sent in a Seiko watch for servicing, I just toss them and buy another.  For the price, you're getting a great watch, hands down.   I've worn more expensive non Seiko dive watches and I've gotten 15 years out of one those but that took routine servicing, whereas I could of bought 3 Seiko turtles for the same price.   So now I'm back to Seiko.  This watch looks good.

Disappointed... Buy Elsewhere August 25, 2017

I had heard of the alignment issues with this watch, so in my order I specifically asked for one that has a properly aligned chapter ring and bezel.  When the watch arrived, I saw that the bezel and the chapter ring were both misaligned.

This watch can be found elsewhere on sites like eBay and amazon for around $250. I thought paying the extra money (and specifically requesting a model without the alignment issue) would get me one with a proper alignment, but I guess not.

I don't want to have to deal with the hassle of returning it only to receive another misaligned watch. I'll be taking it to the local jewelers to have it fixed instead. I will not be buying from Long Island Watches again.
