This is a new version of the Seiko automatic dive watch that is nicknamed Samurai. It features a Seiko 23 jewel automatic (4R35) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back. The 4R35 Seiko movement is self-winding and it can be hand wound and hacked. The movement has a 41 hour power reserve.

Comes on a Seiko rubber dive strap with a buckle closure. This Samurai has a black dial with a waffle pattern texture and contrasting goldtone hands and bezel markings. The hands are a new style patterned after the hands found on the Seiko Monster series of watches. This version also has a gun metal ion plated case that makes it really stand out. It includes manual and a Seiko box.

    I have been looking for a new diver for awhile and was interested in the Seiko Samurai SRPB55, Long Island Watch had it in stock, did my research and ordered online ....There are plenty of places to purchase a watch online-retail other options, but I wanted a no nonsense vendor which provide a great experience .......     I just received my watch and i am glad i pulled the trigger on this beauty ! Seiko does not disappoint with this Samurai, it fits nicely for a 44mm and looks sharp and classy, the rubber band is soft and wears comfortably on the wrist. Shipping was super fast no complaints. Its my second purchase from long island (seiko padi) and will definitely not be the last !

    Received my SRPB55 this week- this is a beautiful, solid watch. The coloration really gives this an elegant, tasteful look. As is the common opinion, the rubber band is nice, soft and flexible. I'm not a guy who likes the rubber bands though, as the constantly moving keeper drives me nuts. I've put the watch on an olive green NATO band, with black hardware and it really looks fantastic. The colors just go together naturally. This is one of several watches which I've recently purchased from Long Island Watch, with Mark's help, and I have to say, I love the service!

    Rekindled my love for Seiko

    I just received my Black Samurai SRPB55 from Long Island Watch and glad I pulled the trigger because there are a few left out there. I saw the watch in person at a local Macy's and wanted the watch right there and then. But paying full retail was out of the question for me, luckily I found it here in Long Island Watch at a great price and made the purchase, cause they are sold out. I had Seiko's as a teenager and graduated to the Swiss brands, but this watch brought back the love for the brand even more. The quality and movement are much better now than I remember from 30 years ago. I can confidently say I can pass this watch down to my son and to his in the future, that's how great they become, without spending a fortune on a Grand Seiko or a prestigious Swiss brands. I love the copper/bronze color of the Bezel with the black dial and case. I am planning on dressing up the watch with a brown leather band or a black carbon band in the near future.
