Seiko Baby Turtle Prospex Automatic Dive Watch with Black Dial and Silicone Dive Strap #SRPC37J1

Seiko Baby Turtle Prospex Automatic Dive Watch with Black Dial and Silicone Dive Strap #SRPC37J1

This is a new Seiko automatic dive watch that has been nicknamed Baby Turtle due to its cushion shape case that mimics the slightly larger Turtle watches . This made-in-Japan model features a Seiko 23 jewel automatic (4R35) movement, a date display (with round magnifier), highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back.

The 4R35 Seiko movement is self-winding, but it can be hand wound and hacked. 200 meter water resistance. The watch comes on a black silicone rubber dive strap. 42.3mm diameter x 13mm thick case. 20mm lug width. Drilled end lugs. It includes manual and a Seiko box.

    awesome

this watch sees more wrist time than any other in my collection now. it feels like the perfect mariage between an original SKX and turtle. it has a smaller wrist presence than the full-sized turtles with an upgraded movement. if you like an SKX, you’ll love this model. despite a similar appearance to a turtle, it has its own unique look and feel. the hands and markers have a beautiful cream color tone. i do miss the day indicator on full-size versions, but the simplicity fits this model. i particularly enjoy this watch on a leather nato strap...but the factory strap is very comfortable.

Hello again ... As before the watch after a little clean and sparkle was great ... However, I was expecting a Orginional Seiko hinged presentation box for the price ... I believe for the unboxing it would of been much better.. Sorry but as the last one a little disappointed...

    A new classic from Seiko

The nickname "Baby Turtle" does a disservice to this watch. The turtle's case is rather squarish, while the SRPC37 is very round with a lug to lug length that is about 1mm larger than the diameter. To me this watch feels more like an evolved SKX. If you are looking for a Seiko diver that wears smaller than an SKX this watch is for you. Great shopping experience from Long Island Watch. I love Marc's YouTube videos, very informative and entertaining.
