Seiko Special Edition, Save the Ocean Prospex Turtle Automatic Dive Watch #SRPD11

This is a new Seiko automatic dive watch that has been nicknamed Turtle due to its cushion shape case. The watch is based on the very popular 6000 range of vintage Seiko dive watches. This new special edition model is part of the new Save the Ocean collection. Part of the proceeds from the sale of this collection will be donated to the non-profit Fabien Cousteau Ocean Learning Center that raises awareness of ways to preserve and protect the planets waters and endangered marine life. It has a distinctive graduated blue dial with a texture that resembles the surface of water. This is offset with black bezel that has a blue portion that defines the first 20 minutes.

The SRPD11 features a Seiko 24 jewel automatic (4R36) movement, a date display, highly luminous hands and markers treated with Lumibrite for awesome low light visibility, a screw down offset crown, a uni-directional diving bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, Hardlex mineral crystal and a solid etched, screw-down case back.

The 4R36 Seiko movement is self-winding, but it can be hand wound. 200 meter water resistance. The watch comes on a black ion-plated stainless steel bracelet with a push-button deployant clasp. The black ion plated case is 45mm diameter. It includes manual and a Seiko box.
