Seiko Solar Quartz Chronograph with Stop-Watch and 24-hour Sub-Dial #SSC017

Seiko Solar Quartz Chronograph with Stop-Watch and 24-hour Sub-Dial #SSC017

This Seiko is a handsome looking quartz diver-style chronograph with stopwatch functions (1/20 sec to 60 minutes), and a handy 24-hour sub-dial. The black dial absorbs energy from the sun to power the watch. Most indoor lighting can provide a charge as well. The stainless steel case measures 43mm and it has a solid screw-in back. The luminous markers and hands are easily viewable on the black dial. Includes a uni-directional black dive bezel with luminous PIP at 12:00, screw-down pushers, a blue ringed screw-in crown, Seiko stainless steel bracelet with a deployant closure. The watch is 200 meter water resistant. Always make sure all pushers and crown are screwed-in before going in the water. This is a very handsome chronograph watch.

    Great Watch / Great Service

I've only had this watch for about a month now, but I really like the style, and it fits really well. Service itself was great. No issues, I wish all my shopping transactions were this smooth.

    dive chronograph

Posted by John Clark on Aug 5th 2017

This watch is what happens when an SKX and quartz solar chronograph have a kids, and the results are quite good. The bezel is very smooth, and the pushers for the chrono have screwdown locks. It is one of the few chronographs I would intentionally take in the water. Despite the quartz movement, the chronograph has a smooth travel, more like an auto. The 6 month power reserve is great for a tool watch that doesn't always get regular use. The bracelet is good, and has a diver extension, even if it is a bit tricky to deploy. I need more time with this watch, but the initial impressions are great.
