The Spinnaker MainSail watch is big and rugged looking. It comes with a 46mm stainless steel case with a wire-cable bezel bolted down in four positions. The wave-textured greenish-brown dial has bold luminous hour markers and distinctive semi-skeleton hour and minute hands. A 24-jewel Japanese movement powers the watch and it is clearly visible via an exhibition window back. Water resistance is good to 100 meters which is fine for swimming, and snorkeling. The MainSail comes on a textured leather strap with matching stainless steel buckle.

    Very nice watch.I love the nautical look of it and it keeps great time and I would buy it again.

    A "rushed" purchase ...

    I think I got a little "carried away" by the great $109 price during the recent Black Monday sale ... and chose to ignore that fact that the watch was a bit over-the-top with all its maritimey decorations. Watches don't need (or benefit from) decorations. Plus I ignored the fact that it's a bit too big. And the thick waterproof leather strap seems ridiculously stiff, and the only way that it could be removed was by cutting it off. (The plastic core revealed the reason for the stiffness.) Bottom line? With its good LIW NATO strap, it would make a lovely gift for a teenaged boy who is *really* into boats and stuff ... :)
