Spinnaker Fleuss Automatic Vintage Style Sports Watch with 43mm Case #SP-5055-04

The Fleuss series of vintage styled timepieces are inspired by the work of Henry Fleuss who is widely regarded as the inventor of the first self-contained underwater breathing apparatus (Scuba) in 1878. The watch has a 43mm diameter case crafted out of solid 316L stainless steel is framed by a C5 see through luminous applied vintage style curved semi bulbous Acrylic bezel. The crystal is made from scratch resistant sapphire.

Powering the watch is a precise Seiko TMI NH35 movement proposing the basis of dependable timing instrumentation cloaked in a timeless vintage aesthetic. An exhibition window case back gives you a view of the movement and winding rotor. The watch comes with a thick leather strap with tie-offs at the lug ends. The band width is 22mm. Water resistance is rated at 15 ATM or 150 meters. Bezel and crown are rose goldtone.

Great FF Homage

Very well made watch! I've been chasing one of these for quite a while, and was able to grab it on sale. Outstanding leather strap, very comfortable, adequate lume, but the main attraction is the FF homage design. This pays respect to the legendary Fifty Fathoms without trying to copy it, and I'm very pleased. Great buy!

This is my first spinnaker watch and I am most impressed with the finishing and wearability. I only have a 7" wrist and this 43mm doesn't seem too big. The leather band is very soft and comfortable. I regulated the NH35 to .1ms beat error and +2 seconds a day..pretty awesome for a $35 movement. I contacted Marc about maybe trying one of the curved end crafter blue rubber straps on it, but he was not sure if it would fit. So I ordered a barton strap with navy on top and crimson red under and it makes the Fleuss more contemporary and way more waterproof. Delivery was super fast. If you guys don't know, Marc has a channel on youtube that rocks! You can see him here... https://www.youtube.com/user/islandwatchdotcom/featured Think my next purchase will be either the Damsko DC82 with green accents or the Formex Essence Leggera carbon fiber with the blue dial... although the Damasko is 5x and Formex is 10x the money of the Spinnaker, both of these are very good values and look awesome.

My watch arrived in about 16 days as was expected. I do like the watch very much and I am pleased with my purchase. This is my second automatic watch. The watch runs a little slow so I am getting to having to adjust the time each time I wear the watch. I have had a positive experience purchasing from long island watch. I would recommend them.

This is a very nice watch and my wife LOVES it. Arrived on time, in perfect condition. The leather band on this one is softer than the one on my Bradner. Appears to be the same thickness, just more flexible. Buy with confidence from Island Watch. Island Watch provides the best customer support, bar none.
